Questions players ask
About playing Snooot, furniture and sparkles.
Playing
Snooot is a cosy pixel-art game you play in your browser. You play as your snooot, a rabbit, lion, raccoon, red fox or cat in the coat you like best, and hang out with other snooots in rooms you set up yourself.
Make rooms and put furniture in them. Curl up in a bed for a snooze, climb onto a seat, or step into a portal and come out of its partner, even in another room. You can keep a room to yourself or open it to everyone, make friends and chat in bubbles over your heads. And if you like to draw, you can make furniture of your own.
Yes, Snooot is free to play. There's nothing to download either: it runs in the browser on your computer, tablet or phone.
Yes. Snooot works on phones and tablets as well as computers. Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app of its own.
A new room is private, so only you can go in. Turn on Public and every snooot can visit. A workshop always stays private, even from staff.
Open Friends in the game and ask a snooot by its name. Once they accept, you can see when they're online.
No, a name is for good, so pick one you like. Your animal and coat can change whenever you want, in Your snooot.
Snooot is a cosy place, and the terms say how to keep it that way. Staff can ban a snooot that breaks them, for a while or for good, and remove what it said or made.
Not yet. Snooot is still being built, so things change, and now and then something breaks. The Updates page tells you what's new.
Furniture
Become a tinkerer first: open Your snooot in the game, pick Become a tinkerer and accept the terms. You get a workshop, a private room to build in. Then open Tinker and start a new design. You draw it pixel by pixel, on a back and a front layer, and pick what it's for: decor, a bed, a portal, a box or a seat. Try it here puts a test piece in your workshop, so you can see it in a room before anyone else does.
Send your design for approval. A curator looks at it, then approves it, asks for changes or rejects it. Once it's approved, pick Publish and set a price from 1 to 50 sparkles. It shows up in the catalog under Tinkered furniture, and every sparkle a snooot pays for it goes to you. You can also put 2 to 20 of your designs together in a set and sell them for less than they cost one by one.
Furniture that's kind. Nothing hateful, sexual or violent gets into the catalog, the same as anywhere else in Snooot. When a curator asks for changes, their message tells you what to fix.
A little. An edit has to stay small, like a new shade or new legs, never a new shape. A curator approves it first, and then it changes for every snooot who owns the piece. Make live brings an older approved version back.
Sparkles and trading
Sparkles are what snooots buy furniture with in the catalog, and what tinkerers earn when their furniture sells. They're for the game only: they have no value outside Snooot, and you can't swap them for money.
Every new snooot starts with 25. After that, you get a sparkle for each day you come into the game, so pop in daily and they add up. Tinkerers also earn sparkles when their furniture sells.
Not yet. We'd love to have trading, but it also opens the door to scams, spam and snooots being pushed into bad deals. So we're taking our time. Trading opens once we can keep every trade fair, with no pressure on anyone.
